TRIBAL FOUNDATION RECORDED 47 ACTIVE CASES OF SARV AND GBV

FOURTY-seven active cases of sorcery and domestic violence recorded are currently under PNG Tribal Foundation fighting for justice.
Out from the 47 cases, 45 sorcery accusation related violence (SARV) and two gender based violence are under police investigations, few are pending and many reached committal and national court in the country.
President of PNG Tribal Foundation GT Bustin confirmed from the 47 active cases there are 622 victims and survivors are being looked after by them through food, accommodation, logistics support when attending to court hearing or to police stations, clothing, utensils, medical report including postmortems and even eye witness’s support on weekly basis.
President Bustin said these people live with constant fear, without security, food and safety which they themselves cannot able to provide.
