FOLLOWING a commitment by City Pharmacy Limited last year to continue and expand access to health care closer to communities, CPL has kept that commitment and recently opened another outlet at Leon Hardware 7 mile today.

This marks another step forward in supporting health care services in Papua New Guinea.

Speaking at the opening, CPL Founder Sir Mahesh Patel Mahesh said the company made a commitment in August last year, following the sale of Stop & Shop, to continue growing City Pharmacy and expand access to health care by bringing services closer to communities and congratulated the hardworking CPL team who began work last year to get the new store up and running.

Sir Mahesh adds that while there are opportunities to open hundreds of pharmacies nationwide, expansion is largely restricted because infrastructure challenges in the country.

Despite these challenges, he said the CPL Board plans to open two to three pharmacies every year, along with expanding its wellness clinic services across the country.

The expansion is CPL’s long-term commitment to improve access to essential health services for Papua New Guineans by bringing services close to the people.
