POM GENERAL HOSPITAL LAUNCH 2026 IMPLEMENTATION PLAN

THE Health Secretary Pascoe Kase officially launched the 2026 PMGH Annual implementation Plan (AIP) today, a vital document to transform PMGH.
Secretary Kare says with the AIP, it will transform PMGH to a level 6 hospital in the country as a national specialist teaching and referral hospital.
He urged all staff to be fully committed to their duties as frontline workers, because the people need their service, whislt also adding that as health workers they must reflect on work attitude, organisations of work and make change to improve as health service providers.
Mr Kase was speaking during the dedication service today at the Port Moresby General Hospital in Port Moresby.
Director Policy, planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Ms Regina Seki also highlighted the two main documents which is 2025 Annual Performance Report and the 2026 Annual Implementation Plan, reflecting the roadmap commitment set out on what PMGH will achieve and how they will achieve it.
She added that with the strategic plan, it reminds every staff and management to improve outcomes, strengthen trust and deliver high quality service across all the hospital in Papua New Guinea.
All staff were encouraged to reset and understand their primary responsibility in comitting themselves to providing better health care service.
