AIR NIUGINI WELCOMES ALAN MILNE AS NEW CEO

THE National Airline carrier, Air Niugini officially welcomed its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Alan Milne, today at its main headquarters in 7mile, Port Moresby.
The Airline has been without a CEO for over 6 months since the suspension of former CEO, Gary Seddon in mid-September last year.
Mr Milne’s appointment was approved by the National Executive Council (NEC).
Welcoming the new CEO, Chairman Karl Yalo said that Milne is not new to the aviation, having served as CEO before.
With Milne as CEO, Yalo reaffirmed confidence in the airlineβs operations, with the aim to tighten flight schedules and operations to cater for the new refleet program.
The Chairman also thanked Captain Samiu Taufa for ensuring smooth operations in the past 6 months.
Other board members present at the official welcome was Air Niugini deputy chairman, Anthony Seeto and Officer in charge, Captain Samiu Taufa.
With a background in operational engineering and 44 yearsβ experience, Milne expressed excitement and eagerness to deliver the best possible outcome for Air Niugini.
The appointment is a step to a new era as the airline modernizes its fleet, lift operational performance and deliver the standards Papua New Guinea expects from the national carrier.
