POLICE MOBILE SQUAD 10 WITHDRAWS AS TRIBAL FIGHT IN KAGUA ESCALATES

POLICE Mobile Squad 10 which was providing additional manpower support to Kagua Police in Kagua Erave District of Southern Highlands Province, yesterday withdrew and left for Mendi, leaving warring tribes to clash at their own will.
Local police in Kagua confirms this morning, saying they have no manpower to do anything now.
Yesterday (Tuesday), Marili and Muru villages outside Kagua station was burnt by the Mirupa tribe which is fighting with Wambea tribe.
This morning Rogoma village burns as the Mirupa tribe moves up, along the Gulf SHP highway.
Kagua Police is now telling citizens that their security is in their own hands now.
Kagua Police Station Commander Mark Zena and his men say they have no choice but to stand and watch, as hundreds of fighters with high powered weapons rule.
The imminent fear now is that Kagua Secondary School, Kagua Primary School, Kagua District Hospital and Kagua township will be burnt if retaliatiory actions take place by those who have lost properties.
