QUEEN OF A THOUSAND TRIBES RETURNS HOME

Queen of a thousand tribes, Miss Papua New Guinea 2026, Iampela Popena, returned home today after a successful Miss Pacific Islands Pageant campaign, in Nadi, Fiji.

Arriving at 1pm at the Jackson International Airport, the young queen was warmly welcomed by the NCD Governor, Powes Parkop, Miss Bird of Paradise Committee Chairlady, Anna Bais, Provincial Pageant queens, friends, families and members of the general public.

 NCD Governor Parkop in his official welcome, thanked Miss PNG for representing Papua New Guinea well in the region, showcasing the diverse and unique cultures of her country.

Speaking in his capacity as the chairman of the Permeant Parliamentary Committee on Gender Equality and Women Empowerment, Governor Parkop praised Miss Popena for drawing national support and regional support.

When the Queen herself took centre stage for her remarks, she radiated charisma and confidence, delivering a powerful yet humble speech on youth empowerment.

She also took the time to thank the people that supported her journey including former Miss PNG, Tyla Singirok, her technical team, members of the MboP pageant but most importantly God, for giving her the confidence to stand firm in her journey.
