TELIKOM PNG Group Chief Executive Officer, Amos Tepi, is among more than 400 Papua New Guineans honoured with the 50th Independence Anniversary King’s Medal.

Mr. Tepi is one of the first representatives from Telikom group to receive the King’s Medal, marking a significant milestone for himself and the organization.

He described the recognition as not only a personal achievement, but also an honour for Telikom PNG, his family and community.

Mr. Tepi said the award is especially meaningful as it comes immediately after Papua New Guinea’s 50th Independence anniversary, a historic moment for the nation.

Mr. Tepi said the occasion serves as a reminder for Papua New Guineans to reflect on the past 50 years and more importantly to look ahead to the next 50 years with hope, responsibility and positive action to do things differently for the nation.

Mr. Tepi also thanked the award committee for the recognition and expressed confidence that more individuals will continue to be acknowledged for their contributions to national development.

The awards were presented during an official ceremony at Government House in Port Moresby by Governor-General, His Excellency Sir Bob Dadae yesterday, in recognition of outstanding service and contributions to the country.
