BSP PLEDGE K20,000 PLANTINUM SPONSOR FOR NATIONAL GAME FISHING TITLES

BSP Financial Group Limited has reaffirmed its decade-long support for Papua New Guinea’s sporting community with a Platinum Sponsorship of K20,000 for the 2026 PNG National Game Fishing Titles.

The national event that will be hosted by the Game Fishing Association of PNG and the San Remo Game Fishing Club will run from Monday 30th March to Sunday 5th April in Kimbe, West New Britain Province.

BSP Kimbe Branch Manager Betty Posangat, officially presented the K20,000 sponsorship cheque to the organising committee saying BSP’s involvement goes beyond sport and highlights the bank’s commitment to supporting local businesses and communities in the host province.

She added that When BSP invest in events like this they are investing in the people and the future of West New Britain.

Meanwhile, San Remo Game Fishing Club President Ian O’Hanlon, welcomed BSP’s support, saying the bank’s partnership will enhance tourism, hospitality and business networking opportunities in West New Britain that is one of the fastest-growing economic hubs in the New Guinea Islands region.

He stressed that the bank’s involvement will boost the profile of local tourism and hospitality SMEs, strengthening relationships between visiting participants and local enterprises, whilst together fostering community growth through high-profile sporting exposure
