CAPRAS DEFEATS HUNTERS

CENTRAL Queensland Capras belted the PNG Hunters 24 – 16 in the Round 1 of the Queensland Hosplus Cup Competition at the National Football Stadium.
Despite Hunters late surge with each tries to skipper Ila Alu, Sanny Wabo and Myles Banam, it was not enough to contain the Capras.
Capras held off the home side Hunters 22-0 at the break, however, never give up effort from the Hunters was too little, too late.
Hunters will host the Wynnum Manly Seagulls next week in Port Moresby for the Round 2 fixture.
