NASFUND DECLARES 13% INTEREST CREDITING RATE

NATIONAL Superanuation Fund- Nasfund- has announced a 13 percent interest crediting rate for the 2025 financial year, the highest rate declared by the fund since 2010.
Chairman Christopher Elphick made the announcement today while presenting the Fund’s audited financial results in Port Moresby.
Mr Elphick says the strong performance saw the Trustee Board approve a record net profit after tax of K1.08 billion with the Fund’s net asset value now exceeding K9.45 billion
He says more than K1 billion will be credited to members’ accounts this weekend, marking the highest distribution in the Fund’s history and reflecting the fund’s commitment to growing members’ retirement savings.
Nasfund also recorded strong membership growth in 2025, with over 28 thousand new members joining the fund, bringing total membership to more than 744 thousand, while the number of employers increased to 2,978 nationwide.
Mr Elphick says the results reflect disciplined investment decisions, strong governance and continued efforts to improve superannuation education and services for members across Papua New Guinea.
