WYNNUM Manly Seagulls head coach Matthew Head has provided a brief injury and medical update for their playmaker Chaz Jarvis, who was assisted out of the field, just 15-minutes into the game, against PNG Hunters yesterday in Port Moresby.
Seagulls’ five-eight Chaz Jarvis was assisted out of the field, with suspected ACL injury where coach Matthew Head later told FM100 Sports News that their medical team is examining the injury and would update later, how long he would be on the sideline.
The Seagulls no. 6 Jarvis left the field after coming in contact with Hunters Joel Gena, which saw Gena was penalised while Seagulls Jarvis ruled out of the entire match.
Coach Matthew Head confirmed it was his knee however, other updates to be confirmed with the medical team, before the club announces his rehabilitation and the recovery details.
“Yes, he had his knee,” coach Head told FM 100 PNG after the Seagulls 28-20 victory.
“Fingers crossed but he tore his ACL, which is a bad one for him.
“But we go home tomorrow (today), and get some scans and get some rehab.
“Hopeful that this is not bad at it’s look.”
The coach also credited his forwards, led by Brisbane Broncos Benjamin Tee Kura, Jordan Grand and Joshua Coric.
Seagulls will play Redcliffe Dolphins while Hunters to play Western Clydesdales this weekend in the Round 3 fixtures.
