BRIDGE CONNECTS VILLAGES IN RURAL WABAG

THE completion of the Lam Bridge will see the connection of Yanganda and Yokonda wards on the other side of the Lam River with Lakolam near the main Highlands Highway several kilometers close to Surinki Government Station along the Wabag-Lagaip electoral boundary.Y
Wabag Open MP Hon.Dr Lino Tom announced that this important infrastructural link will ensure the European Union funded newly established Yanganda Health Centre is fully operational and serves bulk of the population from the Mai Rural LLG in Wabag District and the Surinki LLG of the Lagaip District.
On behalf of the Wabag District Development Authority, the second term MP sincerely acknowledged the input of local contractors for their assistance in ensuring that this important link was completed on time as expected.
“We thank Junior Tirr Karato and his team for doing an excellent job on this important bridge over the Lam River connecting Lakolam to Yanganda and the Yokonda area. We have in partnership with EU built a Community Health Post and this will complement these services well,”Lino said.
The Wabag District is made up of the Wabag Urban LLG, Maramuni LLG, Laiap LLG and the Mai LLG.
