LIFE INSURANCE PRESENTS K55, 000 TO CS DECEASED FAMILY

IN a moving ceremony at the Correctional Service (CS) headquarters last week, Life Insurance Corporation Ltd and National Teachers Insurance officially presented K55 000 life insurance benefits to the family of a deceased CS employee.

The cheque was presented to the deceased officer’s wife Joyce Wa’au and the son Bagi Timothy.

Earlier K10, 000 funeral assistance was provided to support with immediate need and K45, 000 for life cover which totals up to K55, 000.

This reflects the insurer commitment to supporting CS employees and their families.


Speaking at the presentation Acting Correctional Service Commissioner Bernard Nepo expressed his gratitude to the insurers, noting that the CS is privileged to partner with these organizations to provide essential cover for all members of the service.

Commissioner Nepo stated, acknowledging the vital role the National Teachers Insurance plays in supporting the welfare of the all the CS staff and their families.

The Group CEO of National Teachers Insurance Ltd and Life Insurance Corporation Ltd thanked the Commission for their commitment to making this policy a reality.

He emphasized that the coverage extends far beyond death benefits, offering comprehensive medical support to ensure officers have full insurance backing throughout their careers.

National Teachers Insurance Ltd and LIC Ltd Group CEO Sanjib Bhattacharjee thanked the acting CS Commissioner for their commitment, emphasizing thatv the policy offers full medical support and insurance backing for officers throughout their careers.

The wife of the deceased Joyce Wa’au also acknowledge and thanks the PNGCS and the Life Insurance Corporation for the support.

The presentation highlights a significant step forward in securing the financial future and health of those serving in the Correctional Service across Papua New Guinea.
