PERSISTENT NETWORK DISTRUPTIONS IN KIUNGA AFFECTS BUSINESS

BY KENNY ROMANUS

KIUNGA is continuing to face prolonged network disruptions, impacting both business activities and the wider community, especially in communication and critical banking services.

A large number of businesses in the township depend on reliable network service, in Papua New Guinea. However, recent service interruptions have left many users dissatisfied and frustrated.

The problem appears to be widespread, with concerns emerging from across Western Province about declining network reliability.

One bank customer expressed frustration last week, saying, “Because of the network issues, the banking system was down and we were asked to leave.”

Meanwhile, this newsroom has reached out to local network service providers in Western Province for comment, with a response anticipated later this week.
