BULOLO MP VISITS EASTER CAMPS IN DISTRICT

BULOLO MP, Sam Basil Jr has visited a number of Evangelical Lutheran Church of PNG Easter Camps set up across the district during the weekend.

His visit followed food rations and canvases he provided to the camps during the Easter week and followed by on Saturday and Sunday to officially joined the parishes in celebrating and ending the Easter week.

During his visit, Basil Jr gave K1,000 each to a number of Parishes he visited as his offering and said this was from his fortnightly pay and this is his contribution with his family.

While visiting the Easter Camps, Basil also received requests from all these parishes for musical instruments which he said he will support.

He said if they are down with musical instruments such as drums, keyboard or any specific instrument, they must be honest and the district will support them as they have a lot of churches to support in the district.

Basil Jr said despite not visiting all the parishes who camped for the Easter, he has shown support with rations of rice and canvases which is from the district to them adding that the district accounts is not yet opened and they are doing what they can in their capacity and will do more once the accounts are opened.

He said requests have been received from mothers, youths, schools and others for support and they will be supported once the 2026 accounts for the district is opened.
