MINISTER AGISA IN TAPILA TO COMMISSION 3 MAJOR PROJECTS

DELTA Fly MP and Minister for Livestock, Agena Gamai, arrived at Tapila Station yesterday in preparation for today’s official commissioning of three major community projects designed to enhance public services and community development.

Upon his arrival, Minister Gamai was accorded a warm traditional welcome by residents of Tapila. He thanked the community for their hospitality and will stay overnight before leading the official program.

Joining the Minister were Local Level Government (LLG) Presidents and representatives from Balimo, who travelled on the newly completed Balimo–Wasua Road before completing the final leg of the journey to Tapila by dinghy.

The highlight of today’s event will be the official opening of the new Fly Gogodala LLG Chamber, which will provide a permanent administrative office for local government operations and improve the delivery of public services.

Minister Gamai will also officiate at the opening of the new ECPNG Church building, offering the community a dedicated place of worship, and present a new dinghy to the Tapila Health Centre to support patient referrals, outreach services, and the transportation of medical personnel and essential health supplies.

Local leaders said the projects represent an important step towards improving essential services and strengthening development initiatives for the people of Fly Gogodala.

They added that bringing government services and leadership closer to rural communities remains a key priority in ensuring inclusive development across the district.

The official ceremony is scheduled to commence tomorrow morning at Tapila Station.
