TKATCHENKO ADDESSES TALAI RESIDENTS FOLLOWING EVICTION

Moresby South MP & Foreign Affairs Minister Justin Tkatchenko today addressed the people of Talai Settlement in Badili area. This follows the eviction yesterday by a developer.

The issue of ownership of Lower Talai land portion is currently a court matter between the MP and the developer. As this land is currently recognized as registered state land.

MP Tkatchenko assured the residents who were victims of the eviction that relieve supplies will be provided to them.

Three people sustained injuries by bullets during the eviction yesterday, including a young girl, and are all currently at the Port Moresby General Hospital.
