NEW AID POST FOR MAPOS PEOPLE IN BUANG, THANKS TO BASIL JR

THE people of Mapos in Buang, Morobe Province now have a new aid post which has been a need in the ward for years.
Bulolo MP, Vice Minjster for Mining and Minister assisting the Prime Minister in Sports, Sam Basil Jr officiated at the opening of the new aid post last Friday, which was completed and ready to serve the people last Friday.
He urged the locals to look after these services as the villagers at Gwem have burnt down their aid post and he is not happy with their action.
Basil Jr said these services are here to help the people and they have to look after what they have so that the leaders can spend money on other services instead of the same ones.
He said the aid post is an initiative and actual project of his late father and former MP, Sam Basil Sr and not his but he is happy to complete the project which will be followed by a staff house.
Buang LLG Manageress, Winnie Bemalu said what the Gwem locals did by burning down their aid post must not be repeated in other wards.
She said she will be keeping an eye on the conduct of certain words destroying government-funded properties and if they continue to do this, they will not be receiving new projects in their wards.
