THIRTY-NINE COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKERS GRADUATE FROM ARAWA

THE ARAWA School of Nursing graduated thirty-nine Community Health Workers at the Tanamalo Community Health Worker Graduation ceremony last week.

Director and Principal of Arawa SON Celine Tusala, this year the school introduced a new curriculum for Community Health Worker, and the upcoming health workers are qualified under this health training.

Mrs Tusala encouraged the graduands to try their best to help the people with the skills and knowledge their have gained and become ood health workers in the community.

“You will now become front liners in your line of work serving the sick and the needy.

You have the skills and techniques of a community health worker (CHW). You will step in when there is no doctor available and no nursing officer.

As a (CHW) you will be considered as a doctor and nurse in the health center you will be serving,” the school Director and Pricipal Mrs Tusala emphasized.

She also thanked Member of Haku Constituency Hon Patrick Koles for the support and recognition of this training to, Director Health Services under Operations and functions of the school, ABG Administration Deputy Secretary Operations and Care Taker Secretary Technical Services Ms Usurup, fellow students and parents for their assistance and corporation with the school this year.
