National Capital District Commission City Manager Ravu Frank is set to appear at the Committal Court in Waigani tomorrow, Tuesday, 21st of January 2025.

This is to face charges against him for alleged illegal land grabbing and others; however Mr. Ravu was not present for the first hearing of the matter last week, despite his lawyer or legal counsel and police prosecutor being present at the court.

Magistrate Cathleen Sopa adjourned the matter to five-more days, to give all parties ample time to prepare and attended the matter on Tuesday (tomorrow).

Mr. Frank was formally charged for abuse of office for illegal termination of a former NCDC employee and conspiracy over a piece of land located at the Korobosea.

Mr. Frank, now 54-year-old from Alewai Village in the Rigo district of Central province was arrested on the 11th of December 2024 by the National Fraud squad before releasing him on K3 000 bail.

He was supposed be to present at the Waigani Committal Court last Thursday, however, he did not appear. He was even said to have chosen to remain silent during the first police interview, for reasons only known to him.
