VALLEY HUNTERS INK PARTNERSHIP WITH HILTON HOTEL

The Valley Hunters Rugby Club & Hilton Hotel & Residences Port Moresby announced the signing of a partnership, a significant step forward for the club, providing a unique opportunity to further strengthen our commitment to community engagement, support the growth of rugby, and reinforce the core values that define both our club and Hilton.
Ryan Mickelson, the general manager of Hilton Port Moresby Hotel and Residence, stated that it was a pleasure to have the signing the partnership proposal for 2025.
He added that being able to sponsor Valley Hunters this year (0:54) is great for the hotel, and aligns with the Hotel’s travel with purpose program, which is about one of the areas of that is supporting youth and supporting local community activities as well.
He also announced that they have put this through the wider Blue Energy Committee as well, which is made up of various team members throughout the different departments and they are ecstatic, to be able to support Valley Hunters for this year.
Henry Elias, president of Valley Hunters in his remarks stated that were very honoured and very excited about this new partnership, especially with Hilton as the club’s destination partner for accommodation and hospitality.
“We are very passionate about community work and order. And this started during the Christmas of last year. We were in the carousel here at night with our boys, even though it was a last minute, but we managed to get a team together.”
He said they are very excited and thank the management of Hilton for this partnership.
Throught this partnership, Hilton’s facilities will serve as the venue for several key events throughout the year, including the inaugural Valley Hunters Gala Dinner in June 2025.
This event will celebrate the rich history of rugby, its ability to unite people from diverse backgrounds, and the transformative role the sport plays in building stronger communities.
As part of their ongoing collaboration, Valley Hunters is also proud to support Hilton’s Annual Christmas Under the Stars for Charity in 2025, an event the club was honoured to be part of in 2024.
This initiative provides an opportunity for us to spread holiday cheer and give back to those in need in Port Moresby, and look forward to continuing their involvement in this cause.
