GOVERNOR PARIWA ASSISTS CPUS WITH ALLOWANCES

OVER TWENTY Community Policing Units (CPU) in Madang urban Local Level Government (LLG) and the nearby Ambenob LLG have been acknowledged and recognized last week with cash incentives provided by the Provincial Member for Madang, Ramsey Pariwa.
Last Tuesday afternoon, Governor Pariwa travelled out to Riwo village along the north coast in ward six of Ambenob, accompanied by the Provincial Police Commander, Acting Superintendent Robert Baim, where he presented K8,000 to the Riwo CPU.
Team Leader of Riwo ward 6 CPU, Johanes Kamod expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Governor Pariwa for recognizing their effort in providing security to keep the community safe and peaceful despite challenges and threats they had received during the course of their work
Governor Pariwa said he was impressed with the commitment and dedication of the CPU members.
Madang Provincial Police Commander, Acting Superintendent Robert Baim used the occasion to announced that the CPUs from local villages near Madang town would be utilized during the 50th Golden Jubilee celebrations in September.
He said the members of the CPU would be allocated different parts of Madang town to provide security and this place they would take ownership and make it safe and peaceful for the general public to move around during the jubilee celebrations.
Acting Superintendent Baim said Governor Pariwa has a vision to support the work of the CPU and has set aside budgetary allocation so they youths must bear in mind that their provincial leaders still have a compassionate heart for them.
Following the presentation at Riwo CPU, Governor Pariwa and PPC Baim drove to Madang Teachers College where they presented K10,000 to the Ward 10 CPU.
More cash presentations of incentives were presented last week at Siar village CPU and Madang Urban LLG wards CPU.
