SCHOOL APPEALS FOR FUNDS TO REPATRIATE LATE KAUPA

The Kerevat National School of Excellence is urgently seeking assistance to transport the body of a late student from a Kundiawa pick-up point to his family in Yobai village, Simbu Province.

The school community is in mourning following the tragic death of Samuel Kaupa, a Grade 11 student from Yobai village in the Salt Nomane Karimui district of Simbu Province, who died at the Rabaul Nonga Provincial Hospital in on the morning of Sunday, October 12th. His passing was the result of a prolonged seizure.

A haus cry will be held for Samuel this Saturday, followed by a funeral service on Sunday. His body is scheduled to be repatriated to Simbu Province and will arrive at a pick-up point in Kundiawa next Monday. The school has issued a heartfelt appeal for help to facilitate the final leg of the journey home.

This appeal is directed at the Simbu Provincial Education Authority, the Simbu Governor, the Member for Salt Nomane Karimui, and all persons in authority. The immediate needs are for communication and transport logistics to carry Samuel’s body from Kundiawa to his final resting place in Yobai village.
