KAINANTU MAN WINS “TRUKAI WIN YOUR HOME PROMOTION”

A MAN in his 60s from Unayaoba Village in the Kamano LLG in Kainantu Eastern Highlands Province was the proud lucky winner of the ‘Trukai Win your home’ promotion for the Highlands Region.

Ukuti Inako a dedicated small-scale rice reseller from Unayaoba Village officially received his kit home after being announced earlier this year as the Highlands Region winner of the Roots Win Your Own Home promotion last Thursday in Kainantu.

Ukuti was declared the regional winner on March 21 following the nationwide promotion, which ran from October 7, 2024, to February 28, 2025.

The Trukai Industries officers travelled to Kainantu to present Ukuti with his brand-new kit home, marking the final and most significant step of his prize handover.

Ukuti has been supporting his family through the resale of Roots Medium Grain rice, which he sells in cup portions at K1.50 each in his village.

Through this small but consistent operation, he earns between K50 to K60 profit per bag, demonstrating the resilience of rural entrepreneurship.

The handover has brought joy to Unayaoba Village, with community members celebrating the milestone and acknowledging how Ukuti’s loyalty to the Roots brand played a key role in his win.
