BUDDLE OF JOY FOR YOUNG MOTHER ON CHRISTMAS DAY

AMONGST 11 babies born on Christmas Day, 18 year old Elizabeth Inapi from Eboa village in Mekeo district, could not hold back her tears when she finally delivered her child on Christmas day.

The pain of agony in labour was finally rested when she delivered a healthy 3 kilogram male at 7:am at the Inauaia sub health centre in Mekeo, Central province.

The outburst of cry from the new born awaked the mother from the pain, only to realise that she had given birth to her first born child on Christmas.

Beside Elizabeth’a bed side was Shirley Aisa who stood with relief handing over the new born baby to the mother.

Shirley felt satisfied, and thrilled that she had assisted to deliver another new born child on Christmas.

Shriley said she was excited to assist deliver the child at 7:am on Christmas morning.

“I assisted to deliver 10 babies on Christmas and this will be my 11th delivery assist this Christmas, 2025.

” I told the mother to name the new born, Emmanuel, Noel or Christopher, because in the biblical history they were born on Christmas,” the Mekeo and Chimbu mixed parented community health worker said.

Reflecting on Christmas, she said it is the annual calender of the year that commemorates the birth of Jesus.

” I am humbled with my profession as a community health worker to assist deliver new born on Christmas which is a significance to pay homage and respect to the birth of Jesus on Christmas,” said the 42 year old mother five children.

She extended her applause to new born babies delivered on Christmas across the country.
