Pacific Industries Limited has reached a major milestone of dual international food safety certification by receiving both Safe Quality Food( SQF) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points( (HACCP) certification.

The company obtained SQF Certification in January 2026 after successfully passing a comprehensive third-party audit conducted by SAI Global Certification Services for its manufacturing facilities in Port Moresby and Rabaul.

Meanwhile in January 2025, Pacific Industries received HACCP Certification confirming that its production processes meet internationally recognised food safety standards designed to identify and manage potential food safety risks.

Company Director Everet Chue says achieving both certifications highlights the company’s commitment to maintaining world-class manufacturing and food safety standards.

He says the dual certification gives consumers confidence that products manufactured by Pacific Industries in Papua New Guinea meet internationally benchmarked safety and quality requirements.

The company says the achievement demonstrates the capability of Papua New Guinea’s manufacturing sector to meet global standards while continuing to provide safe and affordable products for consumers nationwide.
