PUBLIC servants across the country will receive their 3% general increase in their salaries next week.
The Department of Personnel Management (DPM) has announced that the implementation of the general 3% pay increase to Public Service Performance Based Salary Structure (PBSS) will be effective on Pay Period 2, 21st January 2026.
Secretary of the Personnel Management, Taies Sansan in a circular notice has advised that, following the agreement signed between the DPM and the Public Employees Association last year, public servants across the country will receive the general 3% increase of the PBSS in the coming week.
Sansan explained that the 3% comes from the average 1.5% general increase of public servants of all grades and an additional increase of a fixed amount of 1.5% equivalent of the average base salary of all staff based on strength in the year of government payroll.
This was also confirmed by the Minister for Public Service, Joe Sungi on Monday, during the public servant’s dedication service.
