THE recent K40 million Road Project agreement signing between the Department of Works and Highway and Autonomous Bougainville Government at DOWH Headquarter today, represents another milestone achievement for the people of Bougainville.

This road link projects provide avenue for Bougainville community to access markets, schools, health Facilities and government services, and from the National Government, this project is not just about building roads but it is about restoring confidence, opening market and to connect services that will build governments physical foundation for long term development.

He adds that today’s contract signing is a statement of trust between the governments and is a demonstration of confidence in the contractor and technical agencies, a promise to the people of Bougainville that better days are coming through improving of infrastructure and services.

Speaking at the event the Minister for Infrastructure & Utilities for Autonomous Bougainville Government Patrick Nisira said, his department will work closely with the DOWH, the Bougainville administration and the technical teams to provide the necessary data and documentation to support the Road project.
