ABG AND DoWH AGREES TO IMPROVE ROADS IN AROB

THE Autonomous Bougainville Government today signed and agreement with the Department of Works and Highway, and Raibro Construction Ltd on a K40 million road project to improve road quality and accessibility in the region, from Ton to Chabbai.

The signing of the Memorandum of Agreement took place at the Department of Works and Highway headquarters by the Secretary for Department Works and Highway Gibson Holemba, the Chief Secretary for ABG Kearneth Nanei, and the Managing Director of Raibro Construction Ltd Jennifer Brown.

Speaking at the signing, Gibson Holemba said the agreement is for a 10 km road upgrade and sealing from Tonn to Chabbai at Arawa.

Secretary for Autonomous Bougainville Government Kearneth Nanei, highlighted that the road project is a new beginning for year 2026 project for the people of Bougainville.

Secretary Nanei thanked the team that has been behind the paperwork and in preparation for signing of the contract today and is looking forward to working with them to ensure the project is delivered.
