GARBAGE COLLECTION IN KAVIENG TOWN TO BE MORE EFFECIENT

‎GARBAGE collection in Kavieng town is expected to be more efficient courtesy of a new K313, 600 municipal solid waste compactor truck.

Funded by the Kavieng District Development Authority in partnership with the Kavieng Urban Local Level Government, the facility is a great improvement serving Kavieng town residents says KULLG’s Deputy Manager Operations, Harold Papaul.

‎The waste compactor (rubbish truck) serving the township for almost a month now is expected to provide extensive leverage in a short span of time thereby speeding up work as expected.

Kavieng Town Mayor Greg Toxie Seth said this is a beneficial equipment or the up kept and well-being of Kavieng town.

Kavieng District Deputy District Administrator Blaise Koltes said the assistance resulted from a strong partnership.

The compactor was launched on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at the Kavieng Urban LLG office.
