TISA BANK BRINGS PNG ITS FIRST VERTICAL VISA DEBIT CARD

TISA Bank has become the first bank in Papua New Guinea making history to issue a vertical VISA Debit Card following the official launch of its new VISA product in Port Moresby.

The new card features an uncluttered design with card details placed on the back combining elegance with added security.
Chief Executive Officer Sunil Pokharel says the launch reflects the bank’s commitment to innovation and customer-centric solutions, making banking not only simple but safer and globally accepted.

Pokharel said the VISA Debit Card is more than just a payment tool. It is designed for everyday convenience and international acceptance.

He adds that it also commemorates PNG’s 50th Anniversary, celebrating the trust Papua New Guineans have placed in TISA over five decades.

The card includes enhanced security features, such as 3D Secure for online transactions, instant credit and debit alerts via mobile and email and card control options through the TISA Bank Yumi Pei Wallet, USSD, and internet banking services.
These upgrades ensure customers are protected from third-party fraud, including ATM-related risks.

Existing TISA Bank customers can visit their nearest branch to upgrade from a magnetic stripe or previous card to the new VISA Debit Card and enjoy secure, convenient, and globally accepted payments both in PNG and abroad.
