BANK of South Pacific has hit a major milestone in its digital transformation program with the official opening of its 9 Mile branch last week.

In just six weeks, the branch and its ATMs have processed around 40,000 transactions after start of operation in December 2025 highlighting strong customer demand in Port Moresby’s fast-growing 9 Mile corridor.

Speaking at the launch on Friday, BSP Group CEO Mark Robinson said the branch demonstrates BSP’s commitment to making banking more accessible and supporting economic growth in the region.

He added that BSP will continue expanding its branch network, with new locations planned for Minj and Tari layer this year, alongside enhanced digital services and support for business customers.

This milestone reflects BSP’s long-term goal of connecting more communities to modern banking solutions across Papua New Guinea.
