LOCAL ENB COCOA FARMERS COOPERATIVE TO BENEFIT FROM TRUCK

THE Kule Agri Service Cooperative, comprising of cocoa farming groups in Kainagunan, Ivare, Gaulim, Main, and surrounding communities of East New Britain will benefit from a new truck donation from the ENB Governor Mickael Marum.


The new truck will assist the local cocoa farmers in transporting their dried cocoa beans to the nearest markets and buying points, improving efficiency and reducing the burden of transportation.


Governor Marum also presented four new cocoa fermentaries valued at nearly K70,000. to help improve the fermentation and drying process in enhancing the quality and market value of cocoa beans produced by farmers in the area.


Governor Marum emphasized that the support is part of the Provincial Government’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the agriculture sector and empowering rural farmers.


He further assured farmers that the condition of access roads in the area will be looked into in the near future to improve transportation and connectivity to major buying points.
