ANDREW MOORE NRL’S COMMENTATOR SHARES INSIGHTS WITH MEDIA TEAM

A prominent figure in Australian sports broadcasting Andrew Moore had a chance to share some insights into sports commentary with the PNG Media team during their recent visit to the ABC Head Office in Sydney Australia.

Known for his work with ABC Sports as the Chief Rugby League caller, it was a bonus for the team have him in their program.

In a session with the team today, Andrew Moore shared valuable sports commentary tips and also shared his experience and the challenges in the sports commentary space.

“Sports commentary is always my passion, it is one of those industries that you have to have a passion for. The toughest thing in sports commentary is to be yourself.

“My number one tip to everyone is to be yourself and do it your way,” Andrew pointed out.

It was tough for Andrew at first, given the influence by renown commentators, but he built on the interest as he realised the passion he had for Sports commentary.

Andrew Moore’s career includes a significant contribution to rugby league commentary.

The PNG Media delegation are currently in Sydney, for the International Media Visit, a program supported and organised by the Australia Department of Foreign Affairs in preparation for the upcoming PNG Chiefs entry into the NRL.
