HAMMERHEADS & BOROMAS RUGBY UNION MATCH TO KEEP CODE ALIVE AND AFLOAT

Amidst issues faced the by mother body of rugby in PNG, two leading rugby union associations in PNG are hosting a match to keep the code alive and afloat.

Morobe Rugby Union president Lionel Kamiak says this match against the Boromas in Port Moresby is aimed at keeping players from outside center physically fit and in shape.

Kamiak says the inaugural Vodafone Cup challenge is a way to show that the rugby code is still existing and surviving in the country.

Mr Kamiak says the Morobe Rugby Union will be sending the Morobe Hammerheads down to Port Moresby today.

He confirmed their departure from Lae today saying he is confident that the Morobe side is prepared for this match.

Mr Kamiak says the team has received good support from the Lae City Authority as well as several other businesses.
