CPO URGES PARENTS TO SUPPORT CHILDREN’S EDUCATION

Diocesan Child Protection Officer, Mr. Gilles Ken urged parents and care givers to support their children in the early years of their education.

Diocesan Child Protection Officer, Mr. Gilles Ken when urging parents and care givers to actively support their children, also emphasised that academic success at this age requires parents involvement.

He says achievements are not only expected from students, but students also expect parents and caregivers to nurture their dreams for the future.

CPO Ken was speaking during the graduation of 45 students from the Cathrine McAuley Early Childhood Development School this week as they celebrated their graduation with joy.

Meantime, speaking also at the graduation ceremony, a community leader and former St. Montfort Primary School Headteacher, Mr. Pancras Lawrence expressed appreciation for the teachers’ dedication, contributing to the successful completion of the academic year.

He encouraged the educators to use English as the primary classroom language from an early age, highlighting its importance in laying a strong foundation for the children’s education.

Mr. Lawrencee said that learning starts at an early age. Therefore, English has to be used at early childhood schools and kindergartens or preschools.
