NATIONAL ST JOHN’S PROMPT RESPONSE PRAISED
Mr Buluck Boney, the husband of a female snake bite victim, expressed his satisfaction and gratitude to the National St John’s Ambulance team on Christmas Night (Wednesday 25th 2024), for their promptness in responding to his distress call.
At 0921pm, the National St John’s Ambulance operation command centre received a call from Mr Boney, informing that his wife had been bitten on her feet.
An ambulance team, consisting of a clinician to admister the anti-venom, was quickly dispatched to the area, that is located off a dirt road from Dogura.
The paramedics did a quick assessment of the victim before treating the suspected venomous snake bite.
She was then lifted into the ambulance and rushed to the 6 Mile Hospital, for further medical attention.
Speaking to media outside of the 6 Mile Hospital, the husband, Mr Boney, said the National St John Ambulance were “very good.”
“They are a very good service provider.
And they are very smart and efficient.
They’ve got very good first aid kit and they were able to treat her (his wife), before we brought her to the hospital,” Mr Boney said.
Mr. Boney’s wife will remain under observation at the 6 Mile Hospital for tonight.
