ALIA AID POST TAKING SHAPE

The people of remote Alia region in the East-Pangia Local Level Government of the Ialibu-Pangia District, Southern Highlands Province, have thanked the Provincial Government for funding the construction of their new Aid Post.
An appreciative community representative, Samuel Tawia stated that once in operation, Alia Aid Post would be a relief for mothers, children, elderly in reducing the long distances travelled to reach the nearest aid post for receive treatment.
He said the installation of solar system, toilets and water tanks are now underway, with fencing and health workers houses under construction.
Tawia thanked the local contractor, W7C Bridges & Construction Company Managing Director Timothy Tepi, a local man businessman, for the public private partnership effort on his part to implement the project with funding from the Provincial Government.
Tawia says despite no proper road access to the building site, the contractor hired local labour to shoulder building materials from where they were dropped off.
