PNG QUEEN SET TO SHOWCASE NATIONAL PRIDE AT MISS PACIFIC ISLANDS PAGEANT

Today, Miss Papua New Guinea, May Torowi Hasola, travels to the beautiful Solomon Islands to participate in the Miss Pacific Islands Pageant which will be hosted from the 2nd to the 7th of February 2025 in Honiara. Crowned in December of 2024, Miss Hasola is the second queen from the Miss Bird of Paradise Papua New Guinea (MBOP) Pageant to vie for the coveted regional crown:

Miss Papua New Guinea stands for strong family values and is an advocate for the most vulnerable in our communities, especially persons living with disabilities. Through the Miss Pacific Islands Platform, Miss Papua New Guinea hopes to magnify her message throughout the pacific.

“My committee is proud to enter our second contestant in this prestigious pageant. We are confident that Miss Hasola will be a magnificent ambassador for Papua New Guinea and the values that our MBOP platform represents” shared Anna Bais, Chairlady of the Miss Bird of Paradise Pageant.

When asked about her reflections on her pageant journey thus far, Miss Papua New Guinea shared that since being crowned she is thankful for the overwhelming support that she has received from her team in preparing for her role and the regional pageant.

“I am truly honored to be representing our country on the eve of our 50th independence. I look forward to showcasing the essence of our people during this pageant and my reign” shared Miss Papua New Guinea.

Miss Papua New Guinea is accompanied by the MBOP committee, her chaperone, a media team and supporters.
