TWO DEAD IN VEHICLE ACCIDENT, ELEVEN IN CRITICAL CONDITION

TWO passengers were confirmed dead and eleven others sustained serious injuries in a nasty vehicle accident yesterday morning at Keltiga, Western Highlands Province.
The accident involved a land cruiser from the Southern Highlands Provincial Education Division and a PMV bus from Togoba.
According to Western Highlands Provincial Health Authority CEO Jane Holden, a young boy was one was dead on arrival and one female died at Mt Hagen General Hospital due to multiple fractures including her spine.
Three others are in serious condition with lower lung fractures, four are under surgical review and four other with lacerations were being treated and likely to be discharged.
Meanwhile, Western Highlands Provincial Police Commander John Sagom says traffick police were at the accident scene to establish the cause.
