The People’s Anti-Corruption Movement Association has pledged to take back the Papua New Guinean Economy for the betterment of the people. PACM President John Kua when speaking on the Nasfund FM100 Talkback Show this morning spoke of the organizations push to bring about change in the country’s economic status by securing the future of the country through land.

According to Kua, the PNG economy is controlled by a small percentage of the population and in order to start bringing about change in this situation, the country must re-claim its ownership of land, particularly those that were lost during the colonial past of the country.

Kua outlined that land is an invaluable asset and the need to safeguard this resource is paramount in achieving the aspirations that have been set out by the country’s founding fathers.

A staunch land rights activist, Kua for the past 30 odd years has been advocating for people’s land rights, reiterated that the economic disparity between middle-income earners and SME’s/MSME’s and many major businesses owned by foreign nationals is staggering, urging for citizens to rise up.
