FUNERAL SERVICE FOR LATE CONSTABLES BIAPE AND GORANO TOMORROW

ENGA Provincial Police Commander Chief Superintendant Fred Yakasa confirmed that the bodies of Late Constables Noah Biape and Harry Gorano, t will be brought to Wabag for the official funeral service to be hosted by the police hierarchy tomorrow.
“This is to advise that body of the late members are arriving today and will overnight here in Wabag Lai Police Barracks,” CSP Yakasa said.
Late constables Noah Biape and Harry Gorano were ambushed by gunmen along the Mt.Paia area of Upper Mendi in the Southern Highlands Province whilst returning from official duties in Tari, Hela Province.
Late Biape died on the spot two months ago while Gorano was airlifted to Port Moresby for urgent medical attention but unfortunately passed away after three weeks.
The body of Gorano arrived from Port Moresby this morning at the Kagamuga Airport, Mt Hagen and was received by the police team from Enga Province while the body of late Biape will be later escorted from Goroka to Wabag for the official funeral service to be held tomorrow.
“Friends and relatives can come pay last respects with the formal funeral program to be held tomorrow. We will advise of details later,” CSP Yakasa said.
