GOI APOLOGIES TO KIPONGE & COUNTRY

JIMI MP and Civil Aviation Minister Wake Goi has publicly apologise to Rex Kiponge, and his family and the people of the country for the blunder appointment and inconveniences caused in the recent National Airports Corporation Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer appointment.

While announcing the revocation of Kipong as the Acting MD and CEO of the NAC, Mr Goi said he does not have any ill intentions against Kiponge or any political interests in revoking his recent appointment.

Mr Goi said his decision to squash Kipong appointment was after through review and recommendations and no politics or personal interest has involved in this matter.

Mr Goi said Dominic Kaumu will be in the Acting position for the next 3-months, however, Kipong and Kaumu including other applicants may apply for the position when it advertised soon.

He said the National Executive Council will appoint new and permanent MD and CEO in the coming months.
