SOLOMON ISLANDS PM MANELE TO VISIT COUNTRY

AS part of the upcoming bilateral engagements of Prime Minister James Marape and the current government in the lead up to the country’s 50th Independence Anniversary Celebrations, the Prime Minister of the Solomon Islands, Jeremiah Manele will be visiting Papua New Guinea, in hopes to further solidify relations with Papua New Guinea.
Prime Minister Manele is expected to arrive tomorrow in Port Moresby at 12:40pm, local time where he will be greeted with a ceremonial Guard of Honour Parade and a 19 gun salute.
As part of his program, the Prime Minister will pay a visit to the Governor General, H.E, Sir Bob Dadae, through which he will have an audience with prior to proceeding to his bilateral meeting with Prime Minister James Marape.
The Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea share close partnership, earlier this year Prime Minister Manele had a successful bilateral meeting with Papua New Guinea counterpart, Prime Minister Marape, at the margins of the Honiara Summit 2025.
The bilateral meeting provided key opportunity for discussions to further strengthen the longstanding relationship between the two nations, and this visit is looking to bolster ties between both countries.
