SOLOMON ISLANDS PRIME MINISTER TOUCHES DOWN IN POM

THE Prime Minister of the Solomon Islands, Jeremiah Manele has touched down in Port Moresby. His charter flight arriving early than the anticipated scheduled, was welcomed to the Jackson’s International Airport by the sound of the PNG Defence Force Band.
The Prime Minister was received by Foreign Minister, Justin Tkatchenko at the APEC terminal at around 12:00pm where the inspection of the ceremonial guard was held before quickly jetting off to the Government House to have an audience with Papua New Guineas Vice regal, H.E. Sir Bob Dadae where he will spend time with for most of the afternoon before moving on to the Melanesian haus for the much anticipated bilateral with Prime Minister James Marape.
The Solo Prime Minister is in the country for a two day visit, in the lead up to the 50th Independence Anniversary celebrations.
