ACP TURI HIGHLIGHTS SECURITY PLANS FOR CELEBRATIONS IN NCD/CENTRAL

ASSISTANT Commissioner of Police (ACP) NCD/Central Command, Benjamin Turi says Police in the National Capital District and Central will not sleep until 17th September, 2025.

The ACP said this during a media conference last week, giving a brief highlight of the strategic plan of security operations for the jubilee celebrations here in the nation’s capital.

ACP Turi confirmed that the regular police here in the nation’s capital is 681 that is inclusive of administrative officers but with the continued support from the NCDC, police will ensure the days leading up the 16th September will be safe.

With the recent support of 6 new polices from the NCDC, police will now use them for rapid response.

He said designated squads will be deployed around the city, with a specific team standing by for rapid response.

ACP Turi made a public appeal to the people in the nation’s capital to work with the police in keeping the city safe by reporting crimes and abiding by the prohibitions established by the NCDC Municipal.
