CONSTANTINOU GROUP DETERMINED TO DELIVER “PNG CHIEFS” K200m RESIDENTIAL PROJECT

THE Constantinou Group of Companies is determined to deliver and ensures the residence home of the PNG Chiefs is ready before end of next year.
This was according to Group Chairman and Governing Director George Constantinou Jnr, adding that the C9 residential apartments will be fully fitted and up and running before the PNG NRL franchise entered the inaugural season in 2028.
Constantinou Jnr further admitted that the project will cost more that K200m to complete a 67 fully furnished residential units and an extension of the Airways Hotel and Residences that may incur addition funds.
“The Cost of this development is over K200m,” Constantinou said.
“It’s depending on once we fully get everything up and running and fitted out and constructed.”
However, Constantinou Jnr added that their aim and challenge is to deliver the project on the targeted timeframe, in order for the players, management and officials to move in.
“Hopefully, we delivered this by the end of 2027 so that we make sure we get the players in, the team in and all settled before the 2028 season.
“The C9 Residential Apartments will see an expansion of the Airways Hotel and Constantinou Group’s portfolio.
“It will comprise of 80 internationally designed units of one, two and three-bedroom apartments building.
“Of the 80, 67 will be used by the PNG Chiefs players, management and families,” he said.
Chiefs Chief Executive Officer Lorna McPherson commended Hotel and Constantinou Group’s management for the partnership as this will go a long way, as long and the Chiefs compete in the Australia’s rugby league competition.
