ENERGY AUTHORITY UNVEILS CORE REGULATIONS TO FIX ENERGY CRISIS

IN a major milestone to fix Papua New Guinea’s long-standing power issues, the Managing Director of the National Energy Authority (NEA) Ronald Meketa, officially announces the five core regulations designed to modernize the energy sector and address the nation’s critical lack of connectivity at NEA headquarter today.
The new regulations aim to provide a stable framework for investors and ensure that electricity becomes more affordable for households, businesses and rumote areas across the country.
Speaking during the press conference Manager Director Meketa said this reforms demonstrate clear authorities and commitment to creating a stable transparent and single energy sector that supports investment, energy access and long-term national development for the country.
He emphasized that the regulations provide a roadmap for growth that will finally allow the government and private investors to work together to bring service to people.
