COMMRADE Trustee Services Limited Chairman Chetan Chopra has announced a 12.5% crediting rate for their members for the 2025 financial year.

Mr Chopra says the fund’s branch operations will close by the weekend, with member accounts expected to be credited by Monday.

He described 2025 as a strong year for the superannuation industry in Papua New Guinea, noting that most funds performed well and continued to support the retirement security of members of defence force and their families.

Despite being smaller in size, CTSL says its focus remains on delivering strong financial outcomes, maintaining prudent governance and responsibly managing members’ savings.

Mr Chopra says the fund has recorded steady improvement over the past three years following reforms introduced by an interim board appointed in 2023.

He also acknowledged the contributions of former chair Michelle Offa, retired director Fred Ailey, and current CTSL CEO Philip Polewara for their roles in strengthening the fund.
