K92 Mining has hosted its CARES Awards at The Stanley Hotel in Port Moresby, where Chief Operating Officer and President David Medilek highlighted the company’s strong workplace culture and national contribution.

Medile said K92 Mining’s success is built on strong teamwork, accountability, a shared commitment to excellence and safety.

He said the company continues to make a major contribution to Papua New Guinea through taxes, royalties, employment, investment, economic growth, and community programs, with record levels of corporate tax payments projected this year.

Medilek said the transformation of K92 Mining has been remarkable, crediting employees across all levels for driving the company’s success, and noting that the CARES Awards is about recognising not just results, but the values behind those achievements.

He emphasised the company’s core principles of collaboration, respect, accountability, excellence and safety saying these values are lived daily across the organisation.

He also praised the quality and number of submissions received this year, describing them as inspiring examples of how employees are making a positive difference every day.
